Once he had gotten used to the harness we decided it was time to start trying to walk him.
We started off going around the block, which he wasn't too fond of as the car sounds scared him and the park around the corner was filled with too many dogs.
We decided it would be best to wait for him to have his "Op" before taking him out any further. So in September the deed was done, by 12pm I was receiving calls from the Vet saying please could I fetch him as he was awake and ripping up every last shred of newspaper.
We gave him about a week or two to heal a bit. Until in late September we took him on his first trip out.
Our first trip out was to Camps Bay, where there is a river that runs down through the suburb, here he had his first venture out, he encountered two beetles rolling a dung ball up the main path, quite a few bees, which he was very fascinated by, but yet instinctually scared...
He went right up to the river, almost jumping in! We then followed the river bank, where he went to the closest tree and climbed all the way to the first branch where he sat looking down on the river.
We spent the next 30mins letting him roam around until it was time to go.
After this success we decided it was time to explore more locations.
I will keep all of you up to date on all of his current likes, dislikes & antics!
